General purpose milling in most materials of medium hardness such as steel, brass, iron etc. Solid carbide tools offer long tool life and faster cutting speeds than other substrates, but are more brittle and must be used with rigid toolholding systems. Uncoated tools feature just the base substrate without any additional treatment or coatings and are suitable for a wide range of applications. Hex shanks have six flats on their sides to reduce slippage when working in high-torque applications. Work material: hardened steel and titanium; good for aluminum alloy, carbon steel, nickel inconel alloy, and cast iron; excellent for alloy steel and stainless steel.
